DA NEW KIDS ARE DEY COMING??????????????????
14 years 5 months ago
Excitement looming as the long awaited time for the 2 year olds will be coming in the next month or so.We will all be looking out for the next champion, and also to see how good the babies are compared to the previous year.Owners, trainers, breeders must be chomping as they hope that theyve got a champion.Price does not count anymore as some of the 6 figured horses will not see the track, and a cheapy might set the turf alight.Intime to come we will see a new star emerge.

For R3.50 I buy a lottery ticket and dream for even bigger things.
Just the thought of my monthly vet bill is enough to make me ill. I can think of many ways to get a thrill. After years of owning horses, I will never go back. Tired of being handled.

Vets=Debts - right behind you - Syringe training has left me cold

Harris I echo your sentiments!!
Vet bills nearly equalling keep bills!! that's what got me out of racing. Breeding is even worse. The vet visits a farm and while he is there, he might as well look at your mares as well!! He bills you for a full consultation. And don't forget the transport costs!!. The vet travels 50 kms to the farm, he charges R6.00 km, thus R300. But, he charges all the owners R300!! Thus he sees (for ex) 20 mares. i.e. 20x300= R6000. Not bad for traveling expenses!!.
And I have seen this, it is not heresay!!!
