I never saw the race nor do I care as I thought it was the worst field for the Greyville 1900 I have seen, but on the photo if anything I thought the inside horse got up???

Dead heat is fair I would say

Not sure which 'big owner' you are referring to - the Sheik or Chris van Niekerk?:S

Dead heat looks fine to me. I know conspiracy theories are fun but some people can find a conspiracy in a cheese sandwich.

(Or maybe they thought the world was going to end before anybody made a fuss.....>:D

why participate in an industry if this is your mindset?

I was hoping that Golden Chariot held on (was my selection in UD's competition), but I agree that a dead heat was the correct decision - fantastic piece of riding by Delpech who never gave up when it looked that the race was all over - he has disappointed me once in terms of his committment when riding one of my 'lesser lights' - but he really is a superb rider when he puts his mind to it.

I only had Golden chariot in my Pick 3, so was hoping he got up, but I was happy with the dead heat...1 more stride and Safwan would have got it...

I think M'Lords Throat should have run in the race instead of the earleir 1900m race...he probably would have won it...
