Star Rating (according to the trainer) is very well and should be right there - personally I think he may find receiving only 1 kg from Shalako (a 6 time winner - yes I know all about MR:D) a tough call, he needs to learn to settle and I would like Felix (priviledge to have a top jock like him on) to settle him just behind Varsity Star (who is drawn next to him also and also shows lots of speed) - in summary I think he is still improving and could win if things go his way or at least run close.
Laurel Canyon slightly suspect over the 1200 and the stable is not exactly firing on all silinders - still she seems well enough in here to place at least at good odds - has Cyber Shot and Kaska to beat imo
Not much between Knock On Wood and The Happy Heart and THH could prove better over the 1600 - watch out for Echohawk
In the last I can't understand how the 2 St John Gray runners ended up as reserves - their MR's surely of the highest in the race which is a ordinary Maiden Plate?
Some fancied runners drawn on the outside - watch the first couple of races to see where the best draws are - normally down the inside on this track
