Arlington abandoned today. Just got a message from the course.

Thanks New Turf, pity we were confident about Gilmore Girl today but she isn't a fan of the wet so not too bad. Problem is we have waited 6 weeks after her last win for a suitable race and will probably wait another 6 for the next one.

For nearly three years we had no rain in PE, and now for the last three weeks
it hasn't stopped raining. Even though Arlington is built on a sand dune, the
heavy downpour last night and the forecast of more rain today was always
going to be a problem. And we still have water restrictions in PE!
