I called Hibernia, after receiving an email from Scotia giving me his telephone number since he had initially removed my post without my permission (I suppose he might have had the right to do so) and after thinking long and hard, I realised that it might be in everyone’s interest to let sleeping dogs lie. We discussed it on the phone and agreed it was better to remove both threads completely. Well, it is apparent that he changed his mind and it is still going on.

Therefore I think it would only be appropriate for me to mention as my last post in this matter, since many have misinterpreted what I have said. But to clarify again for the record, I never used the words that Basil “cheated.” I said he lied to me about an offer that was made to him for the sale of the horse, which amount was much higher than I had been told by him. Aside from it being extremely unethical, more importantly for me at the time, he had disappointed me and my whole family to such an extent that we no longer wanted to have horses with him. We had always believed every word he had ever told us. He was our hero and had given us so much pleasure in racing in such a short time with such huge success.

If Basil chooses to sue me for defamation, then he should be reminded that defamation is when there are false and untrue facts made about someone. I have given the true facts. I am ready anytime for any lawsuit that might come my way. I do not have a conscience for anything and I will stand up for the truth and will take responsibility for my actions.

Hotline is quite correct as I had said in my post, it was not the correct forum to have raised this matter, for which I apologized for most profusely, however what I did post was the “honest to God truth.”

I really do think enough has been said and that there are so many bad things in racing that should take priority over this issue and will need to be addressed in the future, which will certainly be more beneficial to us all than all that which has been said in the above.

Never easy to make the correct call on an open 24/7 forum, in addition to the off the forum calls/emails and sms, so again guys "think before you post" and you all have the facility to edit or remove your own posts and be assure we try our best to keep it as free flowing as possible.

Some extremely SERIOUS comments/statements posted. Not being in the know the mind boggles with these revelations whether true or not.

Is this SPORT really this corrupt and underhanded. If so it is truely DOOMED.

From my experience, and any literature that I have read of any financially successful person, they would not accept being intenionally defrauded or taken for a ride. Whether they be Jew, Cristian, White, Black or Green.

I thought that this Forum was supposed to be free of influence and totally transparent. To me the posts on this site are not neccasssarily the opion of the owners of this site and each poster must take responsibility for their comments made here.

My point is that the world of today is MATERIALISTC and that we all hide behind some or other virtue in attempting to be a GOOD person.

I say let all dirty washing be done in the open, long live free speech with the corresponding responsibility thereof.
