18mm Sunday and 36mm/38mm forecast Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday clear. Think they need a miracle to race.

It's tradition in the Cape (for the past few centuries even before global warming etc) that races are lost due to weather and it's impossible to predict when.

So it boggles the mind to have a schedule where you don't have race meetings. The odds are you will have great weather on days with no racing, and floods on days when you were scheduled to race.

Why do we do that? No, seriously, why?

Remember that weather forecasters are much like racing tipsters, and are
not always right. With luck the rain will miss Durbanville and there will be
no problem.

I'm very close to the course and there were a few mills yesterday but none today thus far.We will race np.

i know with the weather foredacsts, but tmrw it is going to rain....let's just hope not too much......no rain in Durbanville area today

The forecast is for it to clear overnight and a decent day is expected tomorrow. Well, that's the forecast anyway - the reality may or may not be somewhat different.
