Really Loopy, make sure tyou get your facts straight if you want some respect - Super Boy has had 2 unplaced runs on the sand, the last one he finished 21 lengths back.

But well done with Ryan's a Lion - not sure how that could win, but he did - and well done to benito with Sayadaw

Yeah Frodo whatever I can read a computaform... I meant 1st time in a long stretch...IF you can remember back a while you will recall that this horse was b/f a few times and even after 9 unplaced runs not paying a place still has a DC of 0-14-30 which means it had DC 0-14-27 over this DC...and a 0-6-10 over the distance... 60% ...does it justify a 50/1...padi 8.00 a place on betfair..thx for the guys not doing the work >:D<

and on Ryan's a Lyon...go look again...Verdonese is known to get value from her wins... brings Sampson back ...last 2 runs with Sampson a WIn and a 3rd...last run on Sand 3rd behind Master Blaster when backed from 14 into 10..comes back to sand...do your homework and earn some respect

Loops we can argue all day long - you will never convince me that Super Boy is anything else but clearly a case of inconsistent running - by the way what is 'DC' and 'intent' - and if you are using that kind of logic to justify your selections, you may do better using a pin. Re Ryan's a Lion - yes he had some fair form over this course and distance - but on ratings he was 32 pounds out at the weights with Burmese Cat - even allowing for the fact that Burmese Cat ran below that form (a point franked by Sayadaw - who also should never have been able to finish in front of Burmese Cat on ratings) - 32 pounds sure is a lot.

Anyway - no hard feelings I hope - please continue doing the 'homework' and posting your selections - the more views, the merrier imo,

Frodo: Your technical analysis is sound.. but you are missing the Human element

DC is distance Category and in this instance up to 1299 mtr's and part of the "Technical" element

Intent: Without intent the horse might as well be a superstar but will not win a MDN without the intent of the connexions... and the EXACT case in question for your inconsistent running on Super Boy.. or ANY other donkey not performing to expectations ... and the reason why Keen Smartly just reeled in Full Moon Rising..without intent a horse might as well not participate mate..

Thesaurus definition of Intent: something that is intended; aim; purpose; design; an anticipated outcome that is intended or that guides your planned actions; "his intent was to achieve"; "good intentions are not enough"; "it was created with the conscious aim of answering immediate needs"; "he made no secret of his designs" aim, intention, purpose, design
goal, end - the state of affairs that a plan is intended to achieve and that (when achieved) terminates behavior intended to achieve it; "the ends justify the means"
idea, mind - your intention; what you intend to do; "he had in mind to see his old teacher"; "the idea of the game is to capture all the pieces"

If you only look at form you will always be short done by...and if it was only about form I would write a computer program that can give me the correct order of any given race straight line..

BUT ..there is 3 aspects

1) FORM 2) INTENT 3) VALUE...

Without any one of these 3 there is no bet...

Thanks for the reply, Loopy - I find it hard enough to analyze the form, without trying to second guess the 'intent' of the connections - I had always assumed most runners go into a race with the 'intent' to win, or at least run the best race they can.

Break a leg with that PA - I see you made it to the last leg - which is a pretty good achievment today imo (tu)
