Maybe one of our Cape Town clan can update us, but I gather it's raining in the Mother City and the forecast for today is pretty poor. That could help the International cause, I suppose. The Irish lads will think they're back home while our boys are squealing about visibility....and getting laughed at in the jockey room.>:D<

Strydom doesn't like water, wonder if he is going to object. Thank goodness Wrogeman is not there, then there would be no racing today.

Light drizzle at the moment and has been on & off since early hours of the morning. Slight NW wind. Can't see them NOT racing. This is what the farmers in the Durbanville area call, ' 'n rond-fok reentjie'' in other words, nothing serious

Hi fellow clansmen/ladies

For future reference as indicated post race. Duke of Beaufort according to jockey A Marcus and trainer V H Marshall should be put over further possibly 2000m.
