Just a case of bad luck with that draw, but he never seemed to be going easily and Barend was scubbing hardest of all from the word go. He's a a far better horse than that and much better down the straight imo. Will do much better in Dubai if they take him there to defend his title. One has to feel sorry for Fred and he always takes these defeats in such good spirit.

whyte rode a pearler in defeat.....best place bet horse in the race..not on saftote though...could have got 5/2.. gave the horse every chance
