Scotia on 17 days before Xmas
13 years 6 months ago
Good morning to the Clan and another year almost over, where did it go?
I have been a bit lost in time after losing my phone and "contacts" so please send an sms with your name and number as I have my same number back, plus had no voice mail but now back on line.
Racing is really great at the moment but cant think of any other physical sport where the ladies are stronger than their men counterparts? (horse racing in SA)
Flying Rocket Man
What a season it will be in the Cape, some great races and great horses, have taken the 9/4 Igugu for the MET with Sportingbet and for this weekend have taken 5/2 Rocket Man with Hollywood, its great the bookies are pricing up early, remember the Queens Plate, Paddock Stakes, Guineas etc.
We have booked the Met trip and will be going for a long weekend and all going to plan Igugu will do the same as she did in the July to cover costs.
DWTD has had plenty press on the site and last Thursday I had an ew over the jumps at 12/1 and then went to the local and "Devil" Diepenaar arrived with sound equipment that the Who would have been proud of
(for younger viewers this is not the world health organization).
The site is going as strong as ever and in November we broke all records with over R3.3 million hits, just wish the voyeurs would have the occasional post rather than phoning me with complaints, maybe losing the phone was a blessing? Remember in this game you are stuck between a rock and a hard place and can never keep everyone happy but thanks again to the loyal supporters we have come a long way.
Highlights from the site
Inside Racing.
RA AGM..
ABSURD..
Tellytrack gets its fair share of posts and the scrolling programmes are excellent, just have to get the scheduling right and try and have less duplication and I hope the site posts are viewed as constructive criticism rather than just a "bunch of punters moaning".
Kauto Star a true Legend
Well back to the good news of horse racing, we were considering a trip to the King George but have settled for the Met, (slightly cheaper) and not sure if Kauto 6/1 is the stable fancy? Master Minded 11/2, interesting what Ruby will do? to beat Long Run 15/10, but should be a cracker. If Rocket Man and Igugu win could be a trip to Cheltenham on the cards where Big Bucks 8/10 should again be the festival banker and should win again at Ascot on the 17th where the Long Walk hurdle should be a short walk for the champ.
Plenty talk about Al Ferof 7/1 might be a good price for the Arkle where Peddlers Cross 7/2 tops the boards, Sizing Europe 3/1 for the Champion Chase, Hurricane Fly 5/2 for the Hurdle and the Gold Cup where Long Run 3/1, Kauto 14/1 (a bridge too far)? and I understand Denman is very well 20/1.
So if we consider Igugu, DWTD, Val de Ra, Princess Victoria, Link Man, Gibraltar Blue, Divine Jet, Golden Sword, Silver Flyer, JJ the Jet Plane? sure I have missed a few but that's enough for starters to get you racing in the Cape for a hot, hot, hot, "sizzling season".
New . . .. For Senior Travel
"scotia takes retirement well with a trip to the MET"
I did not know this...
When you drink vodka over ice, it can give you kidney failure.
When you drink rum over ice, it can give you liver failure.
When you drink whiskey over ice, it can give you heart
problems.
When you drink gin over ice, it can give you brain problems.
Apparently, ice is really bad for you.
Warn all your friends.
Good punting and may your God be with you

We pay our hosts to keep check,1500 unique visitors a day around 100000 hits per day on average..
The weekends are way quieter than midweek ..will post a screen shot later,it will explain it better..
all this and we hardly exist on google..
