will meyer be loyal to steyn or go with the more exciting goosen,who has the inside lane on lambie because of his kicking ability

Stick with what you know. Steyn is world class and will prove this season how good he is as he is only reaching his true potential. SA will not lose a match this year as they, laugh at me, would have won the WC if it not were for that shocking ref against the Aussies.

No way we would've beaten NZ in the semi's the way they slaughtered the Aussies, accompanied by a fair ref, although we had a chance. Steyn is one of the best, he proved that again tonight against the cheetahs. Still having flashbacks what we could've achieved, especially Steyn, one drop goal and who knows? Still many moons to go before the big one...

Malles, I also rate Goosen, but imho he needs some time to mature. With Heyneke in the driving seat, I think he will get the best out of Steyn. We've got tallent galore. Pat Lambie must play @ 15 and Frans Steyn inside centre. Jean De Villiers past his sell by date. What do you think about Fourie du Preez being the cappie? Could be rumours though.

Jeez - Jean de Villiers our no 1 centre imo - I would have Francois Steyn at fullback, Fourie and De Villiers at centre - and consider giving Lambie a chance at flyhalf - can always fall back on Morne Steyn - Fourie du Preez not the worst choice of a captain - what about Josh Strauss - will he make the team?

Don't know if Fourie will be able to handle the added pressure as captain as his game was well off during the WC 2011. As if he is doing things in slow motion, and making lots of silly mistakes, maybe it's only me. Francois Steyn is just a class above the rest. He makes all the difference. Lambie is a difficult one, for me he is too small for fullback. Maybe on the bench for Morne..
