No ways is it in the 60s. For a start some of those guys are too young (Felix Coetzee and Gavin Zyl were both born in 1959, the same year as me), and the race only came into existence in 1977 after the old Bull Brand International fell away. Martin Schoeman I think won it in '77, on a PE horse named Camp Sailor, and he's not in that photo.

Gerald Turner's suspension was overturned and he returned to riding after about a year off.

I am trying to work around that suspension given to GT for a date. maybe late 70's.

I think this was taken at the 1st international race day at turf --cant remember the year I would say 82??

the jock next Felex is mike cave and the one next to Muis is Raymond Rhodst the one in blue and white silks is P McGiven

Turner was suspended in around 1973, and that pic was taken at Scottsville (confirmed by the presence of Gavin Brown).

moose, i think most of us agree, next to Felix is Marcus ( you say Cave ) if you are correct, who is back top left ? a few of us say Michael Cave !
