guys we all know weakest centre is flamingo.of that there is no doubt,next on list is definitely pe and then a toss up between natal and tvl out of season.it is clear to me that the strongest centre is western cape because they hv by far the better quality horses and trainers at the moment.just wait for natal season and u will c wat i mean.

Kimberley. As it is designed to be. Gauteng in winter easily the worst of the rest.

cape is not weak during the off season, they have the winter series which always produces good ones

How anyone can think winter racing in Cape Town is weaker than in Gauteng is beyond me. Not only do they have the Winter series (which gave us Pocket Power, Winter Solstice, Tales Of Bravery, Trademark, and many many others), there is also a race like the Langerman for 2yos (won last season by Variety Club). You need to be seriously blinkered to think that merit rated 69 handicaps on concrete tracks is superior.

Flamingo Park

The worst major centre in south africa is Western Cape.The turnover on their racing is often the lowest in any given week.I dont know
why the punters dont like it but they dont.They have two of the major punting days of the week being Wednesday and Saturday and they still cant get people to punt with confidence on the centre.Do you think KZN is stupid to get rid of them as the were pulling Gold Circle right down.KZN will in time become racing centre of choice for most owners as they be put all their profits back into racing unlike Phumelela who will pay dividends to shareholders before racing gets its chop..

Bobsmith, I don't think that is what is being debated here. Whether the punters punt on it or not, Cape Town has pound for pound the best quality horses in SA. And one of the keywords in this discussion is "quality."
