CWESTERN CAPE & GAUTENG MERGER DENIED BY COMPETITION BOARD

THERE WAS A ARTICLE IN THE CITIZEN ON WED 21 MARCH STATING THAT THE PROPOSED MERGER OF GAUTANG RACING AND WESTERN CAPE RACING HAS BEEN REJECTED BY THE COMPETITION'S BOARD . THE ARTICALE WENT ON TO SAY THAT THE BOARD BELIEVED THAT THE STATEMENT THAT IF THE MERGER DID NOT GO THROUGH WESTERN CAPE RACING WOULD NOT SURVIVE WAS NOT TRUE AND THAT THERE ARE OTHER PURCHASES ABLE TO DO THE JOB.
