Reminds me of a scene in the movie "The Dish". It is set in the small Australian town of Parkes during the Apollo 11 space mission and when the American ambassador (I think it was) comes to town the local band plays what they think is the American national anthem. However, instead of the Star Spangled Banner they burst into a rousing rendtion of the theme tune from "Hawaii 5-O."

I guess it must have happened because the film is based on the true story of how the massive satellite dish in Parkes played its part in relaying images of the moon landing to the world. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend you try and dig it up. It's hilarious.(tu)
