Glyn Schofield won a Gr 3 earlier on the same card. For those with an interest in pedigrees, there were two Gr 1 winners on the card with damsires who are or were standing in SA. Pierro (out of a mare by Daylami) won the Gr 1 Sires Produce Stakes, and Ethiopia (out of a mare by Spectrum) won the Gr 1 Australian Derby. Pierro also won the previous weekend's Gr 1 Golden Slipper (these Aussies are NOT shy to run their horses!) and even in my ignorance must surely rate as Australia's leading 2yo at the moment.
As I've said before, we might have been a tad hasty to get rid of Daylami...
