Born To Buck although well beaten does come out of some very strong formlines and against this soupmeat field has to be a runner

Sorry all - Inside today, outside thursday. Was rushing on my way to track to work a string and wasnt too sharp.

Basically, the Vaal used to split into two groups, one on inside and one on outside, due to best going. So, when inside course, inside draw and when outside course, outside draw, as the rail is now down the middle. Maybe the rolling from the course manager will have helped. Also, it spreads more evenly in Winter, when grass is dormant.

The main reason is that the sprinklers are on the rails and spray inwards, thus resulting in both sprinklers overlapping whilst wetting the middle of the course, making it softer. Also, with everyone scrambling to the rails run, that section of the course has more wear and tear, more holes to fill and less growth of new grass, whilst the lesser used part remains thicker, with more cushion and "hold" for lack of a better term.

My apologies I only saw alamo, and misread the sentence...(:P) lol

I can only think as Titch stated and comes back from a rest, the stable has done well when raiding the vaal...

What about Shareefa's Jet, maybe the swinger?

Last week in the first few races down the straight, there seemed to be less of a draw bias - although horses drawn on the inside did well, they seemed finish down the middle of the track; the later races however showed that a inside draw was an advantage - hard to say what weill happen today - depends if the track was rolled and how heavily it was rollled - would have been nice if the public was informed of this ????

As others have already mentioned, a very difficult card filled by the 'lesser lights' - however I agree that Capitoline should go close - better over 1000 imo and comes into draw 8 with the scratchings - very moderate opposition to say the least so huge chance imo

Enjoy (tu)
