Titch you know what gets to me about the tote, the drastic price variations... I'm not prepared to put my money down on a horse for a place that is paying say R3.00, 1 minute before the race and then pays R1.80 at the off time... And this is not a once off, it happens 90% of the time.

And what is strange is that this has GOT WORSE since co-mingling started on our tote... Where is the value in that!!

I have NEVER seen a Bookie offer your money back on a place....

Not stats just facts....hard to make Uncle Bob look like an angel using them..In fact Uncle Bob has been doing to Zim for years what the Open Bet is doing to racing... siphoning off cash for his own benefit with scant regard for the damage it is doing to the actual supplier.

you need really good fixed odds to win at least a bit. all tote and sp-bets, if u are not a professionell punter watching thousands of videos, are bad bets, because "hot" horses are down to moderate prizes, as yesterday for example with the miller runner. fixed odd: 20-1, tote 8-1.
put on a winning 20-1 more then once 100 pounds, and, not regarding how much money you lost before, they will limit u.
i really think, they should for forbid bookmakers at all. at least, if everyone plays tote, there are no longer illusions and the money goes to where it belong: the track holders, owners, jockeys.

Cutting limits on winners is surely not a service.....When last did you get a email or sms from your bookie?? (other than the ones they send to try entice you to have a bet)

Never had a big enough win to have my limit cut....:D

Yesterday, Hollywood phoned me and sent me a email to apologize for not having the Windsor betting out, yet I am still waiting for TAB to respond to my complaint from 6 months ago....:?
