Satelite Information Services charge us £100 a month to show SA races in our shops our monthly subscription is £ 1300 per month per shop (the big firms pay less) so quite a big chunk.
Now that the UK flat season is under way the main uk tracks are broadcasted by Turf Tv which is a rival firm and costs us a further £600 per month. Many independents refuse to pay the extra £600,so for example yesterday only one uk meeting was covered by SIS ( Lingfield) so SIS showed the 2 South African races beyond the usual cut off time of 2pm..
so considering SIS used SA racing as 66.6% of their broadcast yesterday it might be time for Phum to ask for an increase in rights to show their product ?
ps how much you reckon Phum will recieve of every £100 from the 10 000 UK betting shops per month..
