Just Thinking back to 2010...one name pops up...IRISH FLAME!!!!

Wasn't this horse a machine or what?
I know that the JULY was pushed to the end of the month because of the WC, but Irish Flame was winning everything..
Won the SA DERBY in Joberg(smashed the field 9.5L)..
1month later wins the Daily News 2000(with the likes of Bold Silvano,Noordhoek Flyer,Lizarre,Bulsara)
About 1month later wins the Gold Circle Derby
And about 3 weeks later runs a cracker in the July only beaten a Length by Bold Silvano.

Yes , he was a good horse n SA. Pity his international campaign was not so good.

Shouldve brought em both back atleast Jackson wouldve had competition..lol

Irish Flame earned £28 000 in 10 runs overseas,which will have been a massive minus in the expences

What about Musir, another champion from our shores. I remember him winning on July day a few years back.

I stand to be corrected but Irish Flames best run overseas was in a mid winter race on the all weather @ Kempton.

I believe they missed an opportunity to run this horse in the stayers races last season in the UK, he would of most certainly of loved the ground imo...

One thing i know about Sheza........he loves Mike de Kock (tu)

But the 2 trainers I do follow is MDK and Sean Tarry..(For obvious reasons.lol)..
But take nothing away from the other world class trainers we have, Geoff Woodruff, Charles and Alec Laird,Azzman,Snaith,Yogas..the list is endless..
I just take a liking to these two trainers!

After Bold Silvano ran 2nd, flying up behinfd Irish Flame, i had a bet on Bold Silvano immediatley......i think i got 9/2.....and the rest is history. I seem very lucky in picking July winners. I only have 2 fancies for this year and they are English Garden (hoping he doesn't bleed) and Jackson.....in that order.
