Multiple day festival of racing in sa...:S

Always wondered why we don't have MORE 2/3 day festivals in this country, they seem to be helluva successful in the UK?

Would be nice if yesterdays July day had been split into 2 days with 7 races per meeting? ... What do you clanners think of such an idea?

Friday Night, Saturday day time at Greyville

They definately should do that especially for the Met as that will be well supported as there are 10s of thousands holiday makers at that time of the year. A three day meeting with the Thursday and Friday having the first race at about 1700 and closing race at 1930 (6 races) this will get more people in from the beach and for those locals who are working, and on the Saturday just have the normal 8 races starting at the normal time. Finding horses to run will never be a problem over the 3 days.

South Africans will go on Friday night - get blind drunk and then miss the July (maybe a Wednesday Night/day pre July racing bash)
