When Hamilton cancelled there meeting in the UK the other night after a couple of races, the clerk of the course said they were gutted as it`s just cost us £250 k about R3m.Not sure getting a small percentage of a midweek pa would be worthwhile losing the rest of the meeting..

I don't believe a meeting would be started with a view to abandon as that is a real stretch,HOWEVER I am aware that when abandonments have been threatened,in many instances, every attempt is made to get the maximum take-outs completed ,which is extremely detrimental to the exotic punters.
I know we have discussed this before but it would certainly be fairer for the take-out to be proportional to the legs completed..........the present system is tantamount to theft IMO.

I believe they are galloping a couple of horses to see if track fit for racing.

BWAHAHAHAHA ....Stiff neck indeed (tu) ... and here I thought {hiccup} that I was the only one !!

On a more serious note, I cannot believe that track is conducive to racing... Braam I have not even looked at the card as I cannot believe they will race. I culd not even see our street at 04h00 this morning there was such a stream of water ....

No I understand my friend. Grew up in Cape Town so you can tell me nothing about rain on that side. Thanx anyway.

Hope the drainage is good at Durbanville.

I am in Tygervalley and the blue skies are out and not raining right now.
