"@easy horses arent handicapped on their connections"

but in this case the connections are handicapping the horses......by definition a handicap means all horses should finnish in a line....so the correct horse has to be entered into the correct race. Mike Azzie shows that he has grasped this. Geoff Woodruff shows that he has NOT.

I dont care how many horses he has in his stable, the majority of horses and races are handicap/s so you have to know where to place them. The fact that he only had 19 runners in hadicaps and azzie had over 30 shows plenty.

the correct horse in the correct race will be returning stakes in SA today.

Star Effort was not an expensive horse yet beat the colts in the Cape Guineas.Wonder if it was a star effort by jockey Muis Roberts that got her up to win when looking beaten.

Very few chances of fillies winning Guineas against colts these days.

maybe his "patrons" dont want handicappers and therefore he is tied down to trying to win listed and group races

I think Mark Khan made a huge difference in his yard and since Mark no longer there, the stable went south.....

If I had a group winner, with all due respect to GW, why would I give the horse to him and not Mike De Kock?

MDK`s record is miles ahead of GW and The horse,if good enough, would then go to Dubai and contest for the Big Prize-money.

In todays tough climate we all have to cut our cloth accordingly, and while I have sympathy for him, there are several trainers in the same boat as him looking for talented horses and big owners.

Most of the top trainers are now introducing their children as conditioners.
a week ago i saw a very nervous son of JW on TT.
C van Zyl is a qualified artisan in the equine field.
the Mawings,Azzies, and De Kocks youngsters have also tasted victory.
will be interesting next few years.

The fact still remains: you have to have the stock to produce winners. Geoff didn't have the best lately.

Pirates

How many horses does he have in his stable?
Why so few runners in what is the majority of races?
I don't care what he has forgotten the current stats don't lie both regarding form and horses in handicaps
