Northern Princess was bought for R38,000- by John Lunn and along with her victory in the Germiston November H'cap where she beat the colts, she then took on and beat Senor Santa in the match race b'cos Senor Santa was not invited to race in the November H'cap as the panel felt he would not stay.
Other races she contested were the Gosforth Park GR1 Ultimate Computer Fillies Guineas where she ran 2nd under the narrowest of margins to Yquem.Back in KZN, she won the Flamboyant Stakes at Greyville ridden by Michael Roberts.
In the Xeratech Autumn Stakes at Turffontein with a stake of R100,000- Margot won beating Northern Princess by a short-head.Back in KZN Northern Princess won the Poinsettia Stakes at Greville over 1200mts, ridden by Basil Marcus.
