Yes .....one would think so .......as the dam of Watership Crystal bred by Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber fetched $800K with the SW in vitro and she never won a race.......The Dalakhani SW mare cross has only produced one good Gr1 winning colt in Reliable Man while many others with this amazing breeding are still maidens.

This is rather odd because the SW X Darshaan(Dalakhani's sire) is a big affinity and one would think that a son of Darshaan would be ideal for SW mares......still have a lot to learn....... or this Lloyd Webber slacker turns out to be a cracker......

Thanks for the analysis Muthiman.(tu)

I guess what you are saying here is, based on the hard facts, "Lets see if WS can run".

On the other hand, based on the 'soft' facts, that is; she being a MDK recruit, with Marcus booked, I'm inclined to believe it can.

Some years ago Sporting Post published a humorous pedigree of, say, Johnny from two great fictitious human athletes. Don’t remember the details but it went something like this:

Johnny

Sire, Jack Jones; Winner of fifteen Group 1’s including two 100m Olympic gold’s, three 100m IAAF’s,, three times European champion, twice World champion, voted best champion sprinter ever; sire of many.

Dam, Mary Murphy, winner of five grand slams including six Australian open’s, seven French’s, eight USA’s and an unprecedented nine Wimbledon’s; voted Women’s tennis champion of all time; dam of
Margaret (Jack Jones); flower arrangements; dam of:
Justin; layabout; sire of
Jonathan; high school drop-out
Mavis; high school librarian; dam of
Jason; high school chess champion
Justice (Jack Jones); Captain of the B-side football team in Primary school; sire of
Jacob; shows an affinity for marbles
Johnny (Jack Jones); Athletics Victor Ludorum’s Primary and High School; Captain of the winning provincial side;

Muhti, you got any idea what percentage of blue hens were Gr 1 winners? I keep trying to think of even one but I am battling.

?.....not a stats man but I get the gist of your question......there have been many instances of race mares not doing all that well on the track but went on in the breeding shed to produce really smart horses.....one local tale is a race mare called French Muse

?...oops I chopped my post.....

French Muse a 4 time winner trained by Cliffie Otto was a hard knocking gutsy filly that worked like a steam train but never really produced what she was capable of on track and only won a minor listed race at the Vaal .

At stud she was the dam of 12 time winning Winter Solstice and her female offspring fair track performers went on to produce really nice horses like the Bravura and Depradu ......(tu)
