unreal how the bemagtes hate smith...go back to the new zealand one day series and he got an 80 and a century but doesnt perform against pakistan and must be dropped...the tournament is in england and his record there is superb in those conditions plus he is now the main man at surrey ..dekok has zero experience under english conditions so its highly unlikely he will replace smith...overseas smith is an absolute legend but here he continues to get slated especially amongst the afrikaans speaking commentators...he simply has nothing to prove and will go down as the one of the greats in the game of cricket...

Agreed Pirate. This anti-Smith campaign has been on the go for years and keeps flaring up like a nasty disease just when you thought you'd finally gotten rid of it.

I was mighty amused to read an article on ESPN cricinfo a few weeks ago, where the writer gave what you could call a ball-by-ball commentary on the reaction of some of his colleagues in the writing office, to Smith. It was illuminating! Basically they hated him because they hated him .... no reasonable reasons. The conclusion came first, then they looked for reasons for something they'd already decided on.

The end conclusion was that they thought he had an ugly face. Some reason for hating a man, I ask you.

Methinks Amla missed Graemi boy in his lack-lustre display!

Certain they would've rattled the deficit in no time!
