so much sport on today and racing didnt watch,so thx for update mav.7/29 on debut is very impressive and iv never seen the guy play b4!looks like another victory for the best test team in the world.

Well done Abbot. What happens to him once Morkel is back? And there's another quick bowler coming back from injury...Marchant de Lange. In his debut test against Sri Lanka he got 7/84

Talk about an embarrassment of riches ... the selectors can pick and choose.

Let's just hope that those not chosen don't decide to leave the country for greener pastures, like Johan Botha did (we could do with a spinner in the ranks). I wouldn't blame them ... the way the Proteas are playing right now, even a short run with them would look very nice on any cricketer's cv.

Somewhere like New Zealand would accept them with glee, and anyway it's a good country to emigrate to. Someone like de Lange or Abbott would significantly strengthen the NZ bowling (and I suspect Abbott would also strengthen their batting. This boyjie can bat a bit, take my word for it. You saw it here first!!).

Mathematically SA will be on top on the ladder for at least another 14 months even if they lose all their tests.

And the records keep tumbling ....Smith 1st captain to win 50 test matches. Well done Proteas. -D

I am really disappointed with Pakistan as I had thought that they had turned the corner after their fantastic thrashing of England a year ago. Seems to me that they dont fancy batting on quick tracks.

Maybe with Boom Boom Afridi back for the one dayers things will improve for them.

Australia are on the verge of an innings defeat to India.
