Thought i would bump this post and give it another try after 10 years and 128,000 visits!
We have recently had a few rather controversial posts, from posters using non de plumes, rather than their proper names.
It would be appreciated if you could give us some background on whom you are and a bit of a profile on your backgrounds.
Good punting

My team is Heart of Midlothian
My music Fleetwood Mac, Led Zep, CSN, Style Council.
Fav horse Mill Reef

Movie Shawshank redemption
Update profile on current contributers also welcome
Ps married to Mrs S for 43 years and both son and daughter married and delighted to say have a granddaughter(better feeling than leading in a horse)!

Hi,Im Brian Schmidt short for Ebrahim and live just off the famous Sparks Road in Overport,
I am an Indian of German descent and a semi retired businessman and been married to Sue since Nov 85.We have three adult children and a growing number of grandchildren
My sport hobbies are cycling and walking but i seem to be doing less these days
I'm a sucker for a good curry and dislike pasta
My liquid intake is limited to h2o ,tea without sugar and strong black coffee
I like the simple things in life and enjoy my privacy
Dogs and horses have been a part of my lifestyle since childhood and am often at Greyville
Atm my passions are form study and its evolvement
My dislikes are far too many and live by a spade is a spade

Hi guys
I am Leon Smuts and work in the banking industry as a money market dealer and have worked in this industry for nearly 30 years. Racing has been a favorite pastime since my varsity days when a string of early successes conned me into making this a life time activity. Still as enjoyable as ever but thankful that I don't need to make a living from my involvement.
I have a start up business called Scoreline Wagering Enterprises which designs games for the racing industry as I would like to see the sport succeed and have a great belief in racing's ability to bounce back with the right approach. Would love nothing better than to give punters and especially newcomers a more entertaining and rewarding experience which everyone in this game deserves.
My teams are Spurs, the Stormers and support Ferrari in F1. Would like to see McClaren doing better but this appears to be ambitious at this time.
Love music and movies (war movies, court room dramas and real life events dramatised) with favorite artists Def Leppard, Gary Moore, The Eagles and Eric Clapton but enjoy most music including Blues, Jazz and even opera on occasion (admittedly after a couple of pints)
Favorite horses: Horse Chestnut, Empress Club, Roland's Song, Castle Walk, Golden Loom, Royal Chalice and Flaming Rock
Favorite jockeys: Felix Coetzee, Stephen Jupp, Bartie Leisher, Fareed Anthony and Pierre Strydom
Best meal is lamb chops and chips with oxtail a very close second
Best comedy series: Only Fools and Horses
Got hitched in 1993 and glad to have a wife that supports my punting, more so since I have scaled it down to only Saturdays and holidays.
Favorite bets are PA and Pick 3's and on the odd occasion a P6. Not a fair bet in my opinion and none of you will probably believe me if I mentioned that I won my very first P6 with a R1 bet.
Don't play wins and places except when I attend race days and support the tote primarily.
Love the banter on this site but have to admit that I don't enjoy when people resort to personal insults to make a point. Great site though and more knowledge here than on any other place on the web. I read all topics even though some are quite predictable but always most enjoyable.
Happy punting guys and in the famous words of Dell Boy, "Don't worry, next year this time we'll all be millionaires"

Hi everyone
Lee Kershaw age 33, an accountant from Port Elizabeth.
I been involved in punting from an early age, got introduced to racing by my late grandmother and uncle.
Really love the industry and I am looking forward to becoming an owner one day.
1st significant bet was on Durban July 2002 just turned 18, used my pocket money R60 to play a place accumulator, was very fortunate that most if not all favorites missed the placings and PA paid like R28k I played 25%.
Favourite Horses : Horse Chestnut, Teal, Ipi Tombe, The Apache, Pocket Power
Also a sport fanatic. Rugby soccer cricket and whatever is on
Been on the site now for 2years very informative and enjoy the punting comps.
Thanks all involved
