The Cape Season lasts about 3 months,similarly the KZN season.
Ownwers/Trainers send horses down to contest races and at the same time incur extra costs:i.e Travel,Accomodation,Stabling,Feeding and all the other associated costs while away from home base.
In addition there is what it costs to have a punt.
Assuming the horses are not sent down just to paddle in the sea,then by this stage opportunities to recoup are running out.
Perhaps the folowing will be worth following at Kenilworth on Saturday.

R7 Viva Maria,HappyArcher,Bambina Stripes
R8 Pomodoro,Slumdog Millionaire,Ice Machine
R11 Discordia
R12 Ilsanpietro

im sure connections dont have a punt in mind to recoup expenses when they send horses down
