Afternoon.

This afternoon completed and went as follows.......

The 1st runner we wanted 1.44, and with being around 1.52 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won well enough, so a good leave........

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.6, but a non runner and 20.4% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.27 (2.28 nearest exchange price). The price was around 2.1 on arrival and so we had a lay at around 2.1. The lay went and won well enough, so another winner and the way it goes.........

The 3rd runner we wanted 3.0, and with being around 3.2 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at 3.0 max. The price then drifted back out to our own price of 3.3 and beyond, so a chance of a 'free' lay for traders. The lay/trade went and won a battling finish, so another short favourite goes in, but glad of the free bet this time......

The 4th runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.84 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten and so one that got away in hindsight.......

WELL BATTLED.........(3 from the 4 (75%) went and won, so glad of no strategy play today)

'Rolling' strategists see the 1st runner go and win as a no bet race, so happy with that, but with being left with an insufficient amount left to work with, they call it a day there, so level.

Strategy/target players (bank builders) also see the 1st runner go and win as a no bet race, so happy with that, but again they were left with an insufficient amount left to work with, and so end the day levels.

Traders had to concede a little on the 2nd runner at 2.1 max, but all others see them break level, so they lose a little on the day, and not surprised with all those winners again...

So glad we had no play this afternoon, as the winners fly in, so good to miss it and speak soon with this evening's workings...

Morning.

Only Lingfield remains for this afternoon after the weather takes its toll, so not much doing, but we'll see what it throws up...

The races, runners, and prices to work around for this afternoon then, as follows.......

1.50 Lingfield. DRESS TO IMPRESS (1.52)

Our price 4/6 (1.67) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.44 or under, we'll go in for a lay. Small field and so tactics may play a big part, and let's hope for a muddling pace. This fella still would be the one to beat with being clear on the form, but a muddling pace would give the others more of a chance to cause unrest.

4.10 Lingfield. LORD OF DREAMS (2.5)

Our price 19/10 (2.9) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.6 or under. Let's hope for a steady pace early (probably won't be with pace in the race) as this fella likes to run down the pace and finish well.

4.40 Lingfield. MARTYR (3.35)

Our price 23/10 (3.3) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.0 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders please note that this one has a tendency to lead, or race very prominent*

5.10 Lingfield. SHADOWTIME (2.1)

Our price Evens (2.0) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.7 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that this one 'may' go to the lead early if not a good pace, as will stay further than this 1 mile trip*

All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until :am.

So just those to work around with only one meeting on. No play for 5 runner builders/rollers, but 4 runner players will hope to get a start, and then a 'good' start early if they have a pop. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings...
