Freedom of speech

I was truly impressed yesterday when onlookers standing side by side watching the hearse carrying the body of a former prime minister were able to boo or cheer at the same time without any violence breaking out.

Find it difficult to imagine this could happen here in Sa. When we can do this then I know we have true freedom of speech and expression.

I find it appalling that people can cheer & boo at a funeral. Where did 'respect' go to. People are sick.

If they did not like her in when she was alive then why on earth should that change when she died? I hope that when I die there are boos and cheers as then I will know that I was noticed(I'm sure a few ex-girlfriends will boo and I know my ex-wife will lead that Chorus !!) I am one of those people that does not give Death the power to remove my dislike for the Coffin Dweller - I have attended far too many Funerals where a person of "dubious character" reaches Sainthood just because they have died.
