LION TAMER - SIRE?
17 years 3 months ago
Breeding boffs - what do you think of him being a sire in the future? I'm not sure if there are any other sons of Western Winter at stud but i for one would like to see a horse like this have a go at stud - I wonder if there are plans to use him for this purpose - I hope he does not get cut to win a big race

Lion Tamer, Western Winter x Blushing Dove (Cosmic Blush).
Has the right ingredients.
Combines Mr. Prospector (Gone West), Northern Dancer (Vice Regent) and Blushing Groom (Cosmic Blush).
Lion Tamer, 5yr-old, 19 runs 6 wins, 9 places (including 2nd to Pocket Power in the Met, 3rd in the Summer Cup and 4th in the July).
Might need to win a big one to be considered a serious sire but has the right ingredients.
Like the way you think,mr h.

5k at best - guys don't like local until they become Jet Master or Captain Al - frist season then if he performs won't get a blow in - I agree he needs to win one big one - i also like the fact that he won at two

Depends what their plans are for him.
With the other stallion options they have (Seventh Rock as alluded to, for one), maybe the Tamer not top of their list.
Maybe a bar ?

yes with the priviso that he could not be raced again unless infertile? worth it as he reminds me of al mufti for some reason- same type of horse top class on his day but not a real champion race horse but the blood to make it and has raced regularly from two which i also like- make the call!!

Talking about Al Mufti, would definitely send an Al Mufti mare to him.
Mr. Prospector, Northern Dancer, Blushing Groom and Roberto, mouth-watering prospect.

Yeah Adios i think i clocked the gallop yesterday when i looked up his record - but will breeders support him as there are other stallions that make more appeal - i know they have a great band of mares to draw on so maybe i'll have to settle for buying a squib of one of the sales Lion TamerX Al mufti mare(sports world or coastal?)
