Thanks Frodo, this system really seems to favour the fillies and mares as they get 2,5kg's taken off after their MR.

@Frodo .... aishhhh boet, I not sure what you see in this Rock Cocktail's form :S .... is nothing that screams 'feature race material' at me. I fancy Hot Ticket to give him a run for his money but was too shrt at 9/2. I see it is now 13/2 so perhaps a fixed place punt later

Maybe not 'feature race material' yet, but he did run just behind Vercingetorix giving him weight (over a distance arguably short of his best) - and I think he is better than rated; however we will see later this afternoon if I'm right or not - and if I am, there's another runner from that race coming up on Friday night at Greyville- that's IF they manage to race (see rain is predicted again)

Ja, General Sherman. The winner of this race is guaranteed a place in the July final field, GS will be towards the top of the betting board next Wednesday night, 55/1 for the July will be history after this race is run.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Only Wagner is guaranteed a run in the July...maybe another Tarry horse at a much bigger price.

so if he runs up to toss here and they keep him the july field he gets a run. under the guise this is another prep run.

Wagner gets in by virtue of the fact that he won the Summer Cup even if he doesn't run until the big race
