Pomodoro is guaranteed a run - he is the defending champion, G Hawkins said even if Pomodoro doesn't run again before the July, he is guaranteed a run.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Any Tarry horse bigger in the betting than General Sherman will have to perform miracles to make the final July field. As matters stand, GS is a MR 93 and is not in the top 20, so GS must pull a rabbit out the hat very soon if Tarry is harbouring any ambitions of him making the final field.

Well definitely not 'feature race material' - battled to win in a race he should have walked if he were that much better than his rating ?

Just heard Mike de Kock on the re-runs from yesterday; said that Rock Cocktail in his opinion is up to 'that sort of class' (referring to the '1900') and that if he runs 'well' could be supplemented into he July - I sure do hope he is right (tu)

ROCK COCKTAILS win was full of merit.....the pace didnt suit him at all...they absolutely crawled...and the second horse is no slouch...off a slow pace Rock Cocktail had it all to do..but class showed.....he is definitely better rated than the distance it won by.
