By my calculations congrats are in order to Rubber who has held onto win with a total return of R1989 from GeeGee and Perpetual who both had 3 winners in the final week. Rubber, can you drop me an email please mate with bank details etc.. and we will sort you out with your prize early next week.

Analysis of final competition results: week 5: 74 players

1/74 = 1.35% "won" on 4 weeks out of 5 ('Observer': consistent but lost money!)
4/74 = 5.41% "won" on 3 weeks out of 5
16/74 = 21.62% "won" on 2 weeks out of 5
25/74 = 33.78% "won" on 1 week out of 5
28/74 = 37.84% didn't win at all in 5 weeks (including me!)
BUT:
9/74 = 12.16% won money overall
37/74 = 50.00% "won", but lost money overall
65/74 = 87.84% played, but lost money overall.

As the stats show, the Yankee is more luck than judgement!!

Well Done to Rubber and a great last two weeks from Gee Gee.
I got my first 3 selections correct, then made the cardinal error of going against my all-time favourite Major Bluff in my final leg, feeling at the time that the price was too short if I wanted to catch Rubber...Ouch!!!
All's good though...Spurs, Santos and Wits winning made me some consolation bucks!
