Ronaldo to follow Mourinho?
2013-05-22 17:01
Mourinho WILL coach Chelsea
Madrid - Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has hinted that Cristiano Ronaldo could follow Jose Mourinho through the exit door and possibly land up at Chelsea.
TalkSPORT reports that Calderon told the Keys and Gray show: "Cristiano Ronaldo said he was sad at the beginning of the season. I think the relationship with the current president is not a good one, maybe because the president doesn’t like the players he inherited.
"He did the same with Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder. It was unbelievable that when he came he decided to give them away. Then, the next season, they were playing in the Champions League, in the Bernabeu, against Real Madrid for their respective new clubs.
"Ronaldo wanted to breach his contract. The truth is he didn’t want to extend his contract and it’s only got two years left [to run]. In the last few years it’s a rule that you have to extend the contract or sell. If not, then the player is worth nothing.
"There are not many teams that could afford to pay him what he deserves and who can pay Real Madrid what they are asking for. There are three clubs - Manchester City, PSG and Chelsea. I don’t think any other club is going to pay that amount of money for a player.
"They [Real] are going to negotiate the contract now and they will make a decision. It’s something we will know in a few weeks.
"The president doesn’t need to keep Cristiano Ronaldo to be re-elected because no-one else is in the running.
"In a different world he would have agreed a deal [privately] to let him leave next summer, then said to the fans that he [Ronaldo] was going to extend his contract. Then they would have an agreement to leave the club when someone has the money."

Lose Ronaldo and someone will stand against him, Madrid have been a one man team since he got there. Have Monaco not OUTBID everyome for Falcao?
United need Nike to pay part of the transfer fee to have any chance of getting him back. New Manager Ancelloti has handled many World-class players in his time ,and needs Ronaldo to be successful or playing 2nd fiddle to Barca will continue.

There is no way that Ronaldo will play for Chelsea. PSG or Monaco have more chance in signing him as they will pay him what he wants, besides is Mourinhio really going to Chelsea or will he end up at Man City, PSG or Monaco?

Greg you say that you like the instability at Chelsea. Last season they won the FA Cup and Champions League and this season they won the Europa League. Now imagine if they were stable.

exactly my point CNC, i may support United but have never hidden behind the fact that Chelski are a more balanced team even with the unstalbility there and will probably win the EPL next season...

depends what they buy and sell. Apparently Luiz will be sold along with Torres.
