Dont agree, you crawl, then walk ,then run....RF has plenty of time to go overseas for a long stint .....do you think it was easy for him to decide to come back to SA....money isn't everything in life.

western explorer no problem with your point of view but you have a limited life span in the saddle and if you want to retire a pauper start and end your career racing in S A every top man in horseracing has spread their wings, the sooner the better you can always return????

Noted but he is still a youngster in his early twenties......as he matures and his young family grows up he may think about returning ,for now his choice is that he wants to come back home...it may be a few months or a few years, his time will come. For now its a plus for SA racing that he is coming back.....Neisius,Coetzee etc all still riding over 50 so RF has plenty of time on his side.....

From Sunday's South China Morning Post:

"The promise of a "guaranteed" South African premiership has lured Richard Fourie back to his homeland, but he has vowed to return in the future - adding that his one-season stint has sharpened his riding skills.

Fourie will depart at season's end, returning to Cape Town to be leading handler Richard Snaith's number one rider - an opportunity the 27-year-old described as too good to pass up."

There's more to the article if anyone wants to look. But it looks like he may well ride for Snaith in the July.

I am sure we had a post from the Snaiths to confirm, maybe the reason for the 25/1 to 10/1, sure a few of the Clan had a wee peck ;)
