Fourie Snaith combo won't last long.Take my word for that. Will be too much for this young man. That stable must get hot when u fup so I say Highveld for the lad at the end of next season.
The lad seems a quiet one but something tells me he is a redhotchillepepper.Same with Justin I would hazard a guess.

western explorer, we get it that you support/love/speak for/rate richard
BUT people on here are not questioning his ability, they questioning his desire. The fact that so many people say he could make it abroad shows the high regard he is held as a jockey. Many love to come on here and slate, here is a thread where people are simply saying he is daft to come "home" at this point in his career. I wish i could talk to Richard, i would tell him about time and how it waits for no man. I would tell him about opportunities and talent and how they need to be harnessed and worked on. I would then tell him about regret......
I bet you if YOU opened a thread asking which jockeys people want to leave our (sa) shores it would be massive.....
The world is the future, racing abroad is the future, ALL the greats do it, to be a great you need to do it.

I understand fully what you are saying.....what I am saying is that he is still a youngster and plenty of time to do what u are saying....he went there and tried and decided that right now in his life it wasn't for him....just like he did in Mauritius.Would you rather him there and start riding poorly because his mind is not on the job and his heart not in it or rather he comes home where he wants to be ,matures for a year or two or five and then tries the big bad world again....different strokes for different blokes.....right now in his life money is not everything.....as I said previously his time will come but he doesn't want to do what Dougie Whyte has done and ultimately the choice is his ,is it not?And I don't speak for RF ....but I do support him and rate his extremely highly on the list of jocks in SA......

I'd agree with Western Explorer. Different people have different priorities. Fourie has made his choice in accordance with the things that matter to him. Someone else will approach the same choice, but take the opposite course because their priorities are different.
Sometimes we just have to accept that someone else doesn't care about the same things we do, though. It's not that they are being foolish or reckless or turning down a challenge (necessarily) but that they don't care that much about what we think's important.
And both staying there and coming home will cost something of course - that's why choosing shows up what we really care for, because we have to pay, often heavily, to get it.
