"Group" RESULTS - 'Tuesday' Afternoon 26th February Workings...

Afternoon.
This afternoon completed, and went as follows..........
The 1st runner we wanted 1.44, and with being around 1.56 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner made too many mistakes and was beaten by the main danger, so it was one that got away in hindsight and a shame the price didn't drop that little bit more......
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.5, but a non runner and 6.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.4. The price was around 2.74 on arrival and then dropped down to us and beyond under good late support, so we had a lay at 2.4 max. The lay was nicely beaten in the end, so a good result......
The 3rd runner we wanted 3.0, and with drifting to around 3.6 on arrival and not coming back down to us, we had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though........
The 4th runner we wanted 2.0, but a non runner and 16.7% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.83. The price had drifted to around 1.94 on arrival and didn't come back down anywhere near our lay price, so a race to avoid. The runner was beaten after a gallant effort, so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy again though..........
The 5th runner was a non runner due to the abandonment of Catterick. They waited until they were all ready, then called an inspection and abandoned due to winds which were just as bad a couple of hours previous! Bizarre to say the least, but there you go and I'm sure I'm missing something....so let's move on...
The 6th runner we wanted 2.0, and with being around 2.24 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so it was one that got away in hindsight......
The 7th and final runner we wanted 2.4, but a non runner and 10% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.26. There was then a further non runner and reduction of 11.7%, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.11. The price was a well supported 1.98 on arrival, so we had a lay at around 1.98. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......
WELL PLAYED..........
'Rolling' strategists (no 'free' lays for them) won 1 target.................They started on the 2nd runner, and after some frustrating drifters that got beat, they eventually had their 2nd and final lay on the last runner (the 7th), and a good result see them hit their targets...
Strategy/target players (bank builders) had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 2.4 max, and a good result see them win a chunk of their targets.........They then had their 2nd lay (the 7th and final runner) at 1.98, and a good result see them hit their targets...

Traders won on all their trades and so they had a good day. Well played guys...
So a good day in the end, as although strategists had to wait around and cope with drifters, it all ended well for traders 'and' strategists, so well played guys....

Morning.
The races, runners, and prices, to work around for this afternoon then, as follows.......
2.20 Leicester. NIKOLA (1.56)
Our price 4/6 (1.67) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.44 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Often finds one or two, too good, too often, but does set a clear standard here and should be winning to be fair. 'Fandani' would be the obvious danger and would be capable if any chinks in the favourite's armoury, but does have jumping worries and needs to find a bit on the bare form*
2.30 Lingfield. TENSION MOUNTS (2.96)
Our price 9/5 (2.
and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.5 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he should be racing prominent this afternoon from a decent draw. A bit of a thinker, but we don't have too much ammo against to be honest*
3.30 Lingfield. BENLLECH (2.86)
Our price 23/10 (3.3) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.0 or under. *Let's hope for a steady early pace, but let's be honest and say it should be run at a decent pace, but here's hoping anyhow*
3.50 Leicester. SHERIFF ROSCOE (2.24)
Our price 13/10 (2.3) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.0 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Let's hope for a very steady pace, but I doubt it!*
4.10 Catterick. AUTOGRAPH (2.78)
Our price 9/4 (3.25) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.94 or under. *Traders be aware that this one had a tendency to lead, or race very prominent over hurdles, so may well adapt the same tactics on chase debut this afternoon*
4.30 Lingfield. TALAMAHANA (2.2)
Our price 13/10 (2.3) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.0 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders please note that this one 'may' be forced to lead, or race very prominent 'if' no real pace on early*
5.00 Lingfield. LORIKEET (2.66)
Our price 17/10 (2.7) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.4 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders please note that this one as a 'tendency' to lead, or race very prominent*
All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 09:28am.
That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Looks a tricky day ahead (what's new), but we do have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum, and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon..
