Why is a4kg claimer replacing Striker ? I am sure i read somewhere that when jocks are not available they must be replaced with like jockeys . Last time Salutation ran , Pettigrew wanted Malakeng on . The officials did not allow it ! Why the inconsistency today with HH ????????

I think as long as the change is declared before 8:30am any change is allowed regards to jockey/apprentice.

spooke, you might be right there with that early jockey change.............. perhaps they can change what the like, but not so during the afternoon, when one must swap like for like.

Like for like rule is long time dead and buried.

If jock replaced by appy, then claim unless graded race.

SpookE is right, can change Jockeys, apprentices,shoes,equipment etc by 08:15 the morning of the race.
