Betting Shops in the UK

This morning I was searching for a document and found it along with an old betting slip in my glove box. This slip went back a few months and I walked into the betting shop and presented them with the ticket. To my surprise it was a winning ticket, all £8.23 of it, that I could still collect after a few months. I thought that they had a short life span of around 60 days.

In the old days i used to keep logs of all sleepers ,so you could collect bets a year down the line etc etc,now i think the big firms take the bets of their systems after 6 months..

ps my sister is a manager with William Hills and she is told to tell no customers they have bets lying to be picked up... (td)
