Shrek - Agree that Beach Beauty is the one to beat, but the more i look at PV the more i think if she hits that turn ahead of BB she wont be caught. If BB jumps on terms and gets accross its race over.
I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!

If one take a line through Rock Cocktail (2,25L behind Jet Explorer receiving 2 kg) in the Greyville 1900 he runs only one length behind Vercingetorix in the Daily News (at level weights) in a blanket finish with No Worries, CTN, Wylie Hall and Wild One - this would suggest that the three year olds may be held by the older horses in the July???

Indeed - so CTN absolutely no value at the same odds as JE imo

Following on the above posting, here are comments from the Snaith stable, the last sentence of the article is the one which interest me most as this horse has been backed into 3/1.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Race 9 : It would be hard to look past both PRINCESS VICTORIA and BEACH BEAUTY on "form". Although BB has been soundly beaten by PV (1.50 lengths) over 1200m at Clairwood in April 2012, BEACH BEAUTY is a very different horse since then and 1200m is far from her prefered distance. One factor for me remains that much of PV's success was achieved with Cormack in the irons and he now rides BB which he has shared better fortunes. Fayd'Herbe seems to get into tricky situations as was displayed once again yesterday on POUNCE and to be honest has done very little on PV despite PV going off at odds 6/10 in her last, I won't forget because I had rockets landing if she won that race but it wasn't to be. IMVHO BEACH BEAUTY will make PV look silly on Saturday and all who have her bankered good on you because she will prove once again how good she is. For my money the safer bet would be to back PV to run unplaced, Just my opinion though.

Ben-Hur we will see after the race. I make Beach Beauty the best bet on the card.

I see that both Whiteline Fever and Hill Fifty Four lost their appeals to drop their merit ratings.
