SA 405/0 in 90 overs
World record opening partnership 413 in 1956.
50 + fours in the day
Smith double century
Mckenzie 150
And to think that if administrators were allowed to run the game
mckenzie would have stayed home
Well Done guys

Given Gibbs' recent record, he could just as easily have gone out for a duck!
Have to echo Cuckoo wrt 'savoring the moment', because as Pirates says, I think we are going to get slaughtered in India. But what do I know!

Pirates, Gibbs has been under the worse than useless coach Micky Arthur for too long while McKenzie hasn't had time to develop all his worst technical flaws yet as he has just arrived in the side. Gibbs would have made 300 in the days before Arthur but nowadays he would have gone out the first time he got a ball just a short of a length on the off stump moving slightly in or out off the pitch.
