R1 4VAR @1.9 BAR-??-BASS.@8.33

Taking note of what pirates has to sya about the track, one surely needs to look at some value - luck is going to play a bigger part in proceedings as usual (if the jocks are lucky enough to get clear runs in the big fields, they still alos have to negotiate the uneven going in the straight) - some thoughts from me.

R1: Going have to dig up that pin - very little course form; I seem to remember that Lonesome Dove was touted a champion last season - drifting slightly in the betting, but would be the one I'd go for is somebody held a gun to my head.

R2: I think Sabadell is ideally suited to this trip and after a very good run from a wide draw on July Day rates the one to beat - 9/2 was great odds imo - a bit short at 3/1, but I'm going to include him in my Yankee(s).

R3: I agree with JustinV that Kingston Boy ran to 'about 88' last time - so looks very well in here and has a good draw to boot - 4/1 not bad odds and is another one I'm including in my Yankees - and back him up with Libertine in my main PA

R4: Very competitive - I'm going wide

R5: Nothing stands out - need to go wide

R6: Exelero has the reputation, but needs to show he has the class on the track; Heart of a Lion (all the best to Neil (tu)) only beat Hillbrow by under 2 lengths and Hillbrow was well beaten by many of these on July day - so HoaL need to have improved since - Forest Indigo an obvious inclusion with Kochka needing to find some luck from a wide draw ; watch out for improvement from Bah from a good draw

R7: Obviously lots with chances; Blake, Sage Throne, Canterbury Tale, S'lvous Plaite, Kolkata and Masai Warrior my top 6

R8: Stated before that I I make it between Jackson and Run For It, with Espumanti the danger of that low weight.

R9: Jet Belle looks the best bet on the card to me - backing her up with Razzle Dazzle Rose in the PA (just on case)
