"Group" RESULTS - Sunday 2nd March Workings....

Afternoon,

This afternoon completed, and went as follows........

The 1st runner we wanted 2.5, and with being around 2.88 on arrival and then taking a massive plunge late on, we got on at 2.5. The lay was beaten by the main danger, and so the late plunge foiled, and a good result.....

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.1, and with being around 2.62 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten by the main danger, and so it was 'one that got away in hindsight' this time..........

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.32, and with being a well supported 1.93 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at 1.93 max. The lay came in 2nd to the main danger after a battling finish, so a good result.......

The 4th runner we wanted 2.32, and with drifting to around 2.6 on arrival and not coming back down to us, we had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so glad of the drift now and a good leave........

The 5th runner we wanted 1.06, and with being around 1.09 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at the bottom of the market and 1.06. The price then drifted out to our own price of 1.10 and so a chance for traders (builders finished) to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade won as it should've, so the way it goes, but good to see then free bet landed........

The 6th runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.54 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner looked good, but then struggled to hold off and was beaten! so it was 'one that got away in hindsight'...........

The 7th runner we wanted 1.44, and with being around 1.83 on arrival and just getting bigger, we never see anywhere near our lay price at any stage, so all had to avoid another race. The runner was beaten, so the drift more than justified there and another that gets away in hindsight, although could never have opposed at those prices, so we'll let it go happily.........

The 8th runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.8 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 1.7 max. The lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it......

The 9th runner we wanted 2.5, and with drifting to around 2.54 on arrival and then coming back down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.5 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result......

The 10th runner we wanted 2.7, and with drifting to around 2.84 on arrival, and then coming back down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.7 max. The lay went and won, and did well to be fair, so the way it goes..........

The 11th runner we wanted 2.94, and with being around 3.65 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the slight drift justified and one that got away in hindsight......

The 12th runner we wanted 1.5, and with being around 1.8 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner came in 2nd after a close battling finish, so it was another that got away in hindsight on what's turning out to be a very strange day!...........

The 13th runner we wanted 2.8, but a non runner and 3.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.73 (2.74 nearest exchange price). The price was around 3.05 on arrival and never came down to our lay price at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner was beaten after a battling finish, so yet another close finish, but one that gets away in hindsight.......

The 14th runner we wanted 2.1, and with being around 1.98 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at around 1.98 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......

The 15th runner we wanted 3.3, but a non runner and 19.4% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.85 (2.86 nearest exchange price). The price had drifted to around 3.4 on arrival and never came back down to us, so a race to avoid. The runner went and won after digging very deep and looking beaten, so it was a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave.......

The 16th runner we wanted 2.7, and with being around 3.45 on arrival, all strategy play completed, only a bit of trading left on offer, and with around 8 minutes to the race, I'm calling it a day there and chilling out a bit. Good luck traders with the remaining couple of runners...

WELL PLAYED..........

'Rolling' strategists (no 'free' lays for them) won 1 target...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and then hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner)............They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 5th runner, and after a very frustrating battle against winners and those damn drifters, they ended level after needing a tiny bit on their 5th lay (the 14th runner)...........And with that leaving an insufficient amount left to go for another target, they end the session winning 1 target.....

Strategy/target players (bank builders) had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.5, and a good result see them win a chunk of their targets........They then had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 1.93 max, and a good result see them hit their targets....

Traders had to concede a little on the 10th runner at 2.7 max, but all others thus far have bought a profit, or see them break level, so good luck with the remainder guys...

So builders made light work of a tricky looking day (although the first three did finish second to the main dangers) with hitting nice and early, so well played guys. Rollers will be wondering about this afternoon's play and finding it all a bit of a muddle! some strange results, but let's take it at face value and say with all those seconds it could've been oh so much different and worse, so to win 1 target will suffice! Anyhow, we'll settle for it every day eh?. Have a good evening guys and speak in the morning......

That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. It's a very tough looking session with plenty of races lacking strength in depth, but we do have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with the results mail.....
