KZN trainers have just voted unanimously at the AGM to advise the NHRA that they are in favour of a total ban on anabolic steroids. Well done guys

nope the raiding trainers were the first to be banned for bringing maidens and any horses under mr 86 to compete...i assume they lifted the ban from 80 to 86 when all horses went up 6 points...:D

It cannot come too soon. Well done to James on all his hard work pushing for this. Now the NHRA must agree to it.

Question to James and Craig - would that be for breeders too or just those in training?

im sure it will be passed but it needs to policed properly and severe penalties handed out...this is where my doubt is judging on the last few years and recent events concerning the nhra

Mr H, we want a blanket ban. Testing of all horse's from breeding onwards. Even some Vet's have asked for them to be banned and then anyone caught with, using steroids or has any horse found positive must be dealt with severely and warned off. Random test must be done at all stable's, stud's, spelling farm's and anywhere they think steroids might be used.
