wonder of kids still have to recite the times tables...them where the days,lords prayer every morning,standing when a teacher come into a classroom

does any of that happen these days?

I watched that this morning, it is frightening, what is happening in our world,economy bad no jobs people going out to steal,but that was disgusting.

Calling the male teachers Sir and the women Mam/Miss. The school Headmaster (yes, we called him that) was God and you didn't speak till spoken to.
Always greet the teachers (respectfully) when you met them outside school hours.
No running in the corridors, no screaming or shouting in the school buildings.
Assembly before school started ... line up, walk in, sit down and shut up. But then there were no cellphones in those days,
School uniforms ... and may the Lord have mercy on you if you didn't wear your school hat/cap when wearing The Uniform outside on the street.
Homework!
Prefects!

And this was just an ordinary school in an ordinary little town.
