"Group" RESULTS - 'Sunday' 9th March Workings....

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows......

The 1st runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.7 on arrival and only getting slightly bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a very good leave.........

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.1, but with a non runner and 3.8% reduction we now wanted a lay price of 2.06. There was then another non runner and further 8.7% reduction, so no we wanted a lay price of 1.97. The price had drifted to around 2.02 on arrival and then came down to us and beyond under support, so we had a lay at 1.97 max. The lay had to work hard, but got the win and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.........

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.8, and with getting that and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.8 max. The lay was nicely beaten and so a good result........

The 4th runner we wanted 1.25, but a non runner and 6.7% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.23. There was then another non runner and further 7.1% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 1.21. The price had drifted to around 1.37 on arrival and with not coming down to us at any stage after arrival, race to racers had to avoid the race. The runner won well enough, so a good leave.......

The 5th runner was withdrawn, so on to the next....

The 6th runner we wanted 2.7, but a non runner and 12.4% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.49. There was then another non runner and further 18% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.22. The price was around 2.34 on arrival and just got bigger, and with not seeing our lay price at any stage at all, it was a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so another good leave........

The 7th runner we wanted 3.2, but a non runner and 11.1% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.96. The price was around 3.2 on arrival and then dropped down to us, and we had a lay at the rock bottom of the market and 2.96. The lay raced into a nice lead early, but was picked up and passed with ease coming to the second last, before running on again for a well beaten 2nd, so a strange run, but a good result.....

The 8th runner we wanted 2.32, and with drifting big, out to around 4.0 on arrival, and only getting slightly bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage, so all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the drift justified and 'one that got away in hindsight'.............

The 9th runner we wanted 2.7, and with being that and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 2.7 max. The lay went and won, so yet another favourite wins and the way it goes..........

The 10th runner we wanted 2.6, but a non runner and 4.9% reduction, we now wanted a lay price of 2.52. The price had drifted to around 2.62 on arrival, and then there was another withdrawal with 7.7%, so we now wanted a lay price of 2.4. The price dropped to 2.4 and beyond straight after, before jumping back up a bit, so we had a lay at 2.4 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 2.7 (was 3.0 before reductions) and so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and forced an ultra tight photo finish, and after a bit of a wait for the result the judge declared the lay 2nd, so not good for the heart, but a good result........

The 11th runner we wanted 2.7, but a non runner and 2.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.65. The price was around 2.62 on arrival and getting shorter, so we had a lay at around 2.62 max. The lay went and forced a very tight photo, and after a wait the judge gave the lay second, so another mild heart attack, but a good result........

The 12th runner we wanted 1.66, and with being around 1.84 on arrival, and with just a little bit of trading left on offer now, I'm leaving it there as very happy with levels after today, so good luck traders if you proceed...

VERY WELL PLAYED/BATTLED..................(2 from the first 2 (100%) went and won - 4 from the first 5 (80%) went and won - 5 from the first 8 (62.5%) went and won - So a very tough start, but we dodged and weaved our way through and ended up levels at worst, so well played guys..)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) finished level...............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 2nd runner, and after a dour battle with winners and missing winners, they ended up going to their 5th lay (the 10th runner) and broke level, so with that leaving an insufficient amount left to start another strategy/target, they end the session level, and looking back I'm sure we can all only be please with that, so well played guys........

Bank builder strategy/target players had their 1st lay on the 2nd runner at 1.97 max, but a poor result see them go behind early..........They then had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.8 max, and a good result see them win a chunk back..............Then came their 3rd lay (the 7th runner) at 2.96, and a good result see them break level. So with 4 runner builders level with just one potential lay left, and no room at all for error, they end there at level........

5 runner builders went in search of their 4th lay, (the 9th runner) at 2.7, but a poor result see them go behind again............They then had a 'free' lay (the 10th runner) that bought a tiny profit......They then had their 5th lay (the 11th runner) at 2.62, and a good result see them end the session level....

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100.

1st lay £100 to win the £100 target @ 1.97 max. Result negative. Lose £97

Total bank now £303

£101 to recoup as much of the £97 @ 2.8 max. Result positive. Win £56

Total bank now £359

3rd lay £179 to recoup the £41 @ 2.96. Result positive. Win £41

Total bank now £400

And so with level, one potential lay left, and no room for error now, they end here.

Overall result. Level.

Overall result. Level.

Traders had to concede a little on the 7th runner at 2.96, but all others see them win a bit, or break level, so they're around levels at the very worst with a couple left, so good luck guys...

So what a tough day that was with plenty of winners, and those very very very close finishes that 'thankfully' went our way. We all ended level, or won a little, so when looking back that was a very good result, so have a good evening and speak in the morning guys...phew!..........

Morning.

The races, runners, and prices, to work around for this afternoon then, as follows.....

Our price 13/8 (2.625) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.32 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware, that although he hasn't led in any of his races, this race does lack a bit of strength in depth, so no surprise to see him 'very' prominent this afternoon*

4.55 Hereford. MY MOMENT (2.52)

Our price 2/1 (3.0) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.7 or under. *Please note that more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues for this race*

5.05 Warwick. RISK ACCESSOR (1.95)

Our price 10/11 (1.9) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.66 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

5.15 Market Rasen. LOCH OSCAIG (2.56)

Our price 13/8 (2.625) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.32 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 10:08am.

That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Looks a tough session in store with several races lacking strength in depth, but we 'just' about have enough within our armoury to warrant going into battle, so let's hope a few close finishes go our way, or better still, a few shocks come along! Discipline to the maximum then, and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon.....
