BiPot is back
11 years 7 months ago
TAB is delighted to announce that the BiPot, once the king of bets at the Vaal, will be introduced for all South African race meetings from this Friday 15 November.
And to give the bet a flying start, TAB will contribute R50,000 to each of the two BiPot pools this Friday – one is on the afternoon fixture at Fairview and the other on the night meeting at Turffontein which features Leg 1 of the ACTS International Jockeys’ Challenge.
To win the BiPot, you must choose the winner or the second-placed runner in each of six consecutive races. In all other respects it’s similar to bets like the Place Accumulator and Jackpot.
The unit of betting is R1 with a R6 minimum spend. Fractional betting can be used but couplings and first-timer rules do not apply. The first leg of the BiPot will always be the race before Leg 1 of the Place Accumulator.
TAB customers in Phumelela regions playing the BiPot must call their bets to a teller. Betting forms with a BiPot oval have been delayed by a technical problem but will be distributed soon.
Forms must be used to play the bet in TABs in KwaZulu-Natal (mark Pick 4) and the Western Cape (mark BiPot).
The BiPot was immensely popular during the 1970s and 80s when it was exclusive to race meetings at the Vaal and was offered instead of the Place Accumulator.
“The BiPot will have much more competition from other bets than in its heyday at the Vaal because now it’s head to head with bets like the PA and Pick 6,” said TAB boss Vee Moodley. “But the BiPot fills an important gap in TAB’s bet menu and it’s an exciting bet that gives you a second chance in each leg. We believe that in time it will develop a strong and loyal following,” he added.

Looking forward to this bet. I gonna leave the pa behind and hop onto the bipot. This will pay much better than the Pa and will be close to the P6 payouts. I'm think such a bet will constantly pay in the region of between R1000 up to the sky is the limit.
You Guys to win a pa that's paying in the region of R18 to R34 after long hours of study is definitely taken its toll. With the bipot you will at least be assured of a big payout. Just watch how many fav run third- a lot. That will eliminate bad payouts for sure.

myself been in racing for 40 years and are still trying to understand what is the fun to sweat it out for 7 hours and then get a measly div
of R40/50 and if you are lucky you might have it a few times, the times when it pay out thousands I would not have had it as i am form player and the only thing that make the PA pays if form less horses runs in the placing with fav's nowhere
i mean molly goes on about the P as if it is the only bet in town and then he goes out in the first leg more often than not,
i will also focus on the bi pot will use same numbers as for P6 except first leg, taken in account how many times I have lost a P6 because one of my selections ran second beaten by an outsider
to all who will play Bi Pot break a leg see you in the payout Que

My thinking...is that the Bipot should start after the P6...that way...all those who drop out of the P6 try to re-coup on the BiPot....

They know that if you win the bipot you'll have money to spend on the last race

That only gives you 5 races in most race days. ( 9 races)
