NYS14 Sales Dates Survey

Hi all

In the spirit of customer service I wanted to do a quick survey to gauge buyer feedback on our proposed sales dates for NYS2014. Please can you look at your calendar and comment below.

NYS 14 proposed dates are Thurs 24th and Fri 25th April which is close to Easter (Easter Monday 21st) and we want to ensure you have enough viewing days and don’t clash with Easter.

Hence we are surveying wether we should leave the sales dates as they are Thurs 24/Fri 25th April or change to Sun 27th/Mon 28th April(Monday is a public holiday) which will allow more viewing days.

Will you view horses over the Easter Weekend ?
Yes/No

Will 2 days after Easter be enough to view 500 horses?
Yes /No

What about selling Sunday 27th and Monday 28th(public holiday)which allows for more viewing days after Easter?
Yes/No/If I have to

Leave the sales dates as 24th/25th April as Easter will not clash with my viewing.
Yes/No

Whatever you do please dont do the sales over a long weekend at Easter time....travelling is a nightmare as well as it being school holidays?Lots of out of town buyers/vendors and it will be a problem.Moving it up a week either way surely cant be a problem?

I want to attend the 2014 NYS.

But if it is too close to the Kentucky Derby (First Saturday in May), it will make it too difficult for me.

Please try and not have it that we have to drive the horses in over Easter weekend as the roads are a nightmare

The sale has to be linked to Champions Day as part of our sponsorship agreements.

If we keep the sale on the dates 24th/25th April as it is now it will mean two days of viewing after the Easter long weekend and hence the survey.
Is this enough time for buyers to view?
Will trainers and agents and other professionals be going away over Easter or will they be working ie viewing horses?
